Weather 4 Pilots US Android app Review

If you are a pilot looking for an extra resource then check out the Weather 4 Pilots US Android app.

  • If you are a pilot and are looking for a really good resource, then the Weather 4 Pilots US Android app might just fit the bill
  • This app will allow you to check the weather at whatever airport or destination that you are going to be flying to
  • You can also check out the  TFRs as well as call the FBO and FSS right from the app!
  • You can also use it to check out the METARS and TAF for any single airport that is located across the world
  • You get  a quick visual and you also get the added benefit of a simple and easy to use interface

If you are looking for simplicity then you have found it with this app.  You will be able to know the weather at whatever place you are going to be flying to.  All you have to do is just open up the app and you will be able to see radar images that will show the TAF and the METAR as well as the submission boxes.  You will also be able to check the Zulu clock that is placed up in the right hand corner.  You will be able to do a lot of customizations with this app as well and put your favorite airports into the app.  There are three big buttons at the bottom of the app and the first will take you to the FAA TFR site online and then there are also FSS and FBO buttons that will be able to be accessed.  The main cons with this app are that it contains links to external sites rather than just having the information internally which can be pretty annoying.  Also, there is no directory to be able to search for different airports.  On top of that, it is a little bit pricey for not really having any distinct features to benefit from.  There is also no zoom feature for you to be able to use on the map and the entire thing needs more map options on there because all they have currently is the radar.

This app has been given a rating of  2.5 out of 5 stars by Android app users.  This obviously isn’t the best rating out there but the app has an assortment of pros and cons that can be used to measure the reliability of the app.  The app also costs $2.99 to download onto your phone.
