Description:

The Gmail Popup Android app is a great way to preview your emails before you actually read them.

Features:

  • With the Gmail Popup app you will be able to view new announcements and notifications that have come into your Gmail inbox
  • The nice thing about this app is that you will be able to see a little bit about the email before you even open it up which is a nice feature
  • You will also be able to preview the message from the email sender as well as view a snippet of the information and also the subject that was included
  • This way you can actually decide if you want to go in and read the email or you can dismiss it and ignore it until a later time when you would rather go and read it
  • This widget will connect you right the the Gmail app so that you can access your inbox and read the pertinent emails
  • You can mess with the preferences and settings to get the app exactly how you want it

Conclusion:

The Gmail Popup Android app is a great way for you to be able to preview your emails just at a glance.  Rather than having to open up the email to see what it says you can get the first line or two, know what it is about and then decide if you want to open it up or not.  This is just a super convenient way for you to screen your emails without having to go through all of them.   You will be able to get quite a bit of information from the popup including the sender of the email, the basic subject, a little snippet of the content that is inside of the email, and you will also have the option to either dismiss the email or open it up.  You can go to the preferences setting on the app to be able to change actions when deciding if you want to select an email.  The basic settings and preferences will have it automatically open up in the Gmail inbox.  There are a few downsides to this app though because the popup does not come up past the locked screen and also once the popup is on there you can’t actually use it to open the email, it just takes it to your Gmail inbox.  They could have done more with this app.

This app has been given a rating of 3.6 stars out of a 5 star rating.  Maybe not the most useful email, but isn’t a bad one to have either.  The bonus to the app is that it has a free trial for Android app users.
