Features:

  • The AT&T Code Scanner Android app is a pretty sweet little app that allows you to scan any type of barcode that you may find in stores and other places.  You will be able to do it online, in magazines, and anywhere else.  Just a really cool way to experience the things and products that surround you
  • Although there are other barcode scanners out there like the Android bar code scanning app like Barcode Scanner, shopsavvy, and google goggles, this is from the major U.S. wireless carrier AT&T
  • One of the other cool features about this app is that it has the ability to read and scan both the 1D and also the 2D bar codes that you will find different places
  • Another really cool feature that is offered by AT&T is that you even will have the ability to create your own barcodes!  This can be kind of a fun and interesting experience

Conclusion:

The AT&T Code Scanner app is a pretty cool app that lets you scan any 1D or 2D barcodes.  If you look up the 2D ones you will see that you can get all kinds of information such as email, web addresses, numbers on the phone, text, and so much more.  Every single time you scan something you will notice that your phone will take you directly to the result and then you can also create a profile as well as a favorites tab to keep and store all of your favorite scanned items.  You can also create your own barcodes to be able to direct people you know to things like your Facebook account.  The main con to this app is that it won’t ever recognize the calendar events or the QR and SMS codes.  Pretty much the information is just mishandled and not very easy to read and use.

This app has been given fairly decent ratings by all of the Android app users that found it on the app marketplace and decided to download it and give it a try.  It has been given a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5 stars and you can currently download it onto your phone for free.
