TiKL – Touch to Talk (PTT) Android app Review

The TiKL – Touch to Talk (PTT) Android app is a great way for people to get messages across quickly and effectively to people.  It essentially turns your phone into a walkie talkie so that you can talk to multiple contacts at the same time without having to have a long conversation or text them a message.  You simply press the button to say your statement and wait for a response.

  • You can perform this push to talk technology with anyone else that has an Android phone.  It is incredibly simply, all you need to do is have the person’s phone number then you press the button down to talk
  • If you and the other users are using a 3G phone or higher then the communication is pretty much instant.  This is great and makes it into a legit walkie talkie
  • Another thing that is really cool about this app is that you can actually talk to a bunch of different people all at the same time.  This can be a great thing for businesses or people that need things to get done quickly
  • The phone can detect this simultaneous talking so as to help with constant and non-fragmented communication
  • It is easy for you to be able to invite your friends and family to download the app so that you can talk more frequently

This is a pretty cool app because you can instantly talk to friends just by pressing down a button.  It makes this phone into the ultimate walkie talkie for you to take around with you.  If the other people that you are talking to have either 3G or 4G phones than you will be able to talk to them instantly without any lag.  You can do this with multiple contacts to carry on conversations with them all at once without having to text them.  It just is an easy way to communicate without having to commit to an extended conversation or a long text message.  There are a few cons to the app and they come in the form of setting up your initial contacts.  This isn’t the easiest thing in the world to do, but you will be able to make it work after a little while.  Also, this app doesn’t work over the WiFi but it’s not that big of a deal since the app isn’t meant to be used while staying in one place.

This app is free to download and it also has been given a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars which is pretty high for any app on the Android market.
