doubleTwist Player Android app Review


The doubleTwist Android app is an amazing music player for the Android.  This app has it all.  You can sync up your phone with different podcasts and you can also enjoy a bunch of integrated videos as well.  The layout of the app is really slick and it is also very easy to navigate through.  This  makes for a great music listening experience.  One of the great things about the app is that it is iTunes friendly so that it will actually take your playlists and put them on the SD card so that you can enjoy those songs any time of the day.

  • The app will actually with a desktop client that is just for doubleTwist and it is available on both macs as well as PCs
  • One of the nice things about the app is that it will actually import all of your music off of your iTunes playlists, including the amount of times they have been played and what they have been rated
  • The app will also be a manager for podcasts and will sync right up with your computer.  This is an offer that is limited
  • Once you have the app on your phone you can also make any of the songs into ringtones so that you can have a lot of fun with that
  • This app also will work really well with any kind of earbuds that are wired.  This integration with music controllers helps you have an enjoyable music listening experience
  • This app also only plays music that is on the SD card but not anything that is stored onto the hard drive


This has been considered one of the best music playing apps for the Android.  It is loaded with features and does a great job of letting you quickly and easily access all of your favorite music.  It has a few cons in that it will play music that is on the SD card.  This is mainly only a problem with anyone that owns the HTC Incredible.  It also doesn’t allow you to create any kind of playlist while on the app, you have to actually do that through software that will be found on your desktop.  If they could fix a few of the bugs with the memory and editing music while on the app then it would be perfect.

Overall, this app has been given a rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars by Android app users and is actually free for you to download onto your phone.
