BoxFaceStacker Android app Review

The BoxFaceStacker Android app is a fun way to spend a few minutes of your time utilizing the accelerometer that is built into your Android phone.  The premise of the game is to stack your boxes while balancing your phone so that they do not accidentally fall over.  You can play the single player mode as well as the multiplayer mode to get everything out of this game.

  • This app is essentially based around balancing.  You will be using the accelerometer a lot in order to master the game and make the most out of it
  • In the game you will be trying to stack as many boxes as you can, and to do it all in the quickest time possible
  • When you have the boxes all lined up then the way that you drop a new box is to just press on the screen and the box will fall right where you pressed down
  • As it is falling you will need to use the accelerometer in order to makes sure that all the boxes are lining up right on top of each other so that it doesn’t lean too crazily
  • There are two different gameplay modes in this game and they include both a single player as well as a multiplayer mode that you can check out
  • The multiplayer option has a split screen so you can see both players and how they are doing
  • There are also leader boards online that you can check out so that you can see who the best players are in the world.
  • The graphics are pretty simple but they are crisp and clean.  The controls are also very easy to use once you get the hang of it
  • There really aren’t a lot of different elements in the gameplay because you don’t have too many obstacles you need to avoid and also more modes of gameplay would make the replay value go up substantially

This app has been given a rating of 3.3 out of 5 stars by Android app users.  Although it does have some really fun parts to it, it really doesn’t have very impressive graphics and the gameplay gets repetitive after a little while.  The nice thing about this app is that it is free to download so you won’t be losing much by trying it out.  Chances are, however, that this will not be one of those apps that you keep around for too long because you will probably get bored of it.
