CashLog Android app Review

CashLog Android app is one of the better apps out there to help you keep track of your expenses and see where your money is going.  Also includes graphs and pie charts to help you keep track of it.

  • This is a tool that you can use on your mobile Android phone to log cash expenses so that you can keep track of them
  • Whenever you make a cash log entry you can assign it to a different group that is user definable, that way you have full control over what happens with the balance
  • There is also a tab where you can go and look at the history graph and see the balance table for any of the definable groups that you have already created on the app
  • There are even additional types of these history graphs as you get more familiar with the app and how it functions
  • With each of the definable groups that you are working with you can actually see pie charts that will graph the information in an easy to use format
  • You can also remove the waiting screen (also known as a nag screen) which lets you have free usage of the app for an indefinite amount of time
  • This app is meant to help spenders keep track of their money and where it goes.  If you are aware of what you are spending your money on then it is easier to budget it
  • The user interface of the app is actually very easy to use.  All you have to do is create your different groups and then put your spending habits in there.  You will want to make expense groups such as gas, food, entertainment, rent, etc.
  • You can also upgrade to the higher version of the app called MoneyLog but it costs around $5.  That way you can see all of the the income as well as the expenses that you have every week
  • This app also remembers all of the data that you typed into it earlier so it is easy to add entries later on with the information that has already been remembered

Pretty decent app for being a money tracker.  The groups are easy to add and edit, and the graphs are helpful to let you see exactly where your money is going.  The annoying parts of the app is that you can actually see parts of the app that are only available on the paid version.  You can see them on the free version but just can’t access them.  Also there are a lot of extra options that can complicate the entire process of keeping track of your expenses.  There is also a nag screen every time you click on one of the options that don’t come with the free version.

Voted only 3 out of 5 stars by Android app users.  There is just a really naggy screen that comes up at first but if you can get past that then it might be worth downloading.  Plus, it’s free to download.
