Vopium Android app Review

Description:

The Vopium Android app is a way that you can chat with friends and family from all over the world without having to empty your wallet.  You can save anywhere from fifty to ninety percent on all international calls and text messages.  The other nice thing about the app is that you don’t have to have wifi in order to make calls or send texts, do it all over you normal call functions.  This app offers a free trial so that you can figure out its features and make sure it is worth downloading.  This is a great way to stay connected with contacts from all over the world.

vopium

Features:

  • You can save from 50- 90% on all of your SMS text messaging as well as you calls that are international
  • You can also have free chats with all of your friends and contacts over MSN, Google Talk, Skype, AIM, and even ICQ
  • You also get up to thirty free minutes along with 30 free SMS text messages to start out with.  This lets you get the hang of how it works and how good of a deal it is
  • You don’t need wifi to use this app, just dial over your regular phone like you already do
  • The Voice quality on this app is exceptional even on international phone calls
  • You will just be charged from your provider on local calls and you will owe Vopium for whatever you use on your international calls
  • The app also allows you to manage your account online and synchronize all of your contacts and friend information

Conclusion:

The idea of the app is great, to be able to save money on text messaging and international calls but there are a lot things this developer needs to do to perfect this app.  For one, the SMS texting is extremely hard to use and sometimes doesn’t even work at all.  This is the same for the AIM.  It lets you enter in contacts but not much else after this.  Also searching for contacts is annoying because you have to scroll through all of them because there is no search function.  There are just a lot of kinks that still need to be worked out on this app to really make it worth it.  If you have the time or the patience to figure out the app then you can try downloading it, otherwise you might want to wait til some of the bugs are fixed.

Voted 3.3 out of 5 stars and can currently be used for free phone calls as well as a thirty day free trial on the SMS text messaging.
