WeatherBug app Review

WeatherBug is a must have mobile weather app!  Wherever you are, the weather affects all of your plans.  If you are travelling, you want to know the weather before and after you get there.  This Android app gives you local, live, location-based information on the weather.  You can receive alerts, check the radar, and look at the satellite maps currently available.  The WeatherBug app brings you camera shots and videos of current weather.  Because they have their own network of weather stations, you don’t have to rely on temperatures and weather just from the nearest airport, but you can see the temperatures from the weather station nearest to your own location.  There is a wealth of information about the weather available to you at you fingertips, wherever you go.  You can even set a favorite location profile and save it.  You can receive severe weather alerts quickly so you know what to expect.

The WeatherBug Android app was voted the best weather app in the first Android Network Awards.  Not only can you get today’s forecast, but you can also get a seven-day forecast, including the temperatures, windspeed, humidity, etc.  You can even swipe for forecast by the hour.  Google Maps connects with the WeatherBug app as you look at your locations.  There is even an awesome feature that allows you to view snapshots from local weather stations or even videos!  These forecasts can be very specific to your location, which makes the information accurate and easy to frequently update.  The default setting on this Android app allows you to just open it and it generates the current location forecast and includes additional information in the bottom tabs.

As a weather app, customers prefer the WeatherBug app over the weather channel app.  This Android app is simple and effective. The widget allows a small current temperature until you hit the widget for more information.  It is very easy to get the forecasts and severe weather alerts.  One reviewer warned not to set it at ‘Follow-Me’ if you are driving around quite a bit, because it updates every time you change areas and that can really use up your battery.  Still, it is a “must have” especially if you are highly mobile.  WeatherBug is currently rated 4.5 out of 5 stars by Android app users. This Android app can be downloaded for free, or get the upgraded version for $1.99.
